Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone! Not sure if you remember the other day I mentioned that I needed to make 3 Father's Day cards, but there was a sort of catch; 2 of them need to be in French and 1 in English. So far I have made one in French and this one in English. Only 1 more to go!

Woodland Embossing folder, happy father's day

My dad loves white birches, so I thought the Woodland Embossing Folder would be perfect for his card.

Christmas Cards 3

Hi Everyone! How are you liking the Christmas cards that we made at the big event? Do you have a favorite yet or are you waiting until you see them all? After today, I will have one more day of Christmas cards to show you (from the event).

For this card we started off with embossing the Whisper White cardstock with the Woodland Embossing Folder, then taking that new Fine Tip Glue Pen and adding glue to parts of the tree, then sprinkling Dazzling Diamonds over top. So it looks like snow is resting on the tree branches.

The greeting/sentiment is from the Holy Jolly Greetings stamp set.

You will absolutely love the new Delicate Ornament Thinlit dies. So, beautiful. THe greeting/sentiment is from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set. It is the coordinating one with the thinlits.

Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions let me know!

Inked Embossed Folders

Hi Everyone! Today's cards are all about the technique - Inked Embossed Folders. I have 3 different cards to share with you using this really cool technique.

For this technique you ink up your brayer then run it over one side of your embossing folder. Usually the top side of the folder. Then you run it through your Big Shot (or whatever you use). When it comes out, the ink is transferred to the shallow part of your embossed piece.

Same technique, yet 3 completely different cards! To take this even further you could always sponge the raised part of each image, to give it more detail. I did that on this card, this one and this one.

Which one is your favorite? I think I will have to go with the Woodland one. I absolutely love the Soft Sky in the back ground. I love how peaceful it is.

Lovely as a Tree, White Christmas and Woodland Embossing folder

Hi Everyone! Today's card is my 2nd Christmas card that I have made this season!! (don't forgot to sign up for my Christmas card Stamp-A-Stack, click on the events button for more info).

Right now on You Tube you can find all sorts of tutorials on how make a card like this. First you stamp your ink onto the embossing folder (the sky colour), then on the other side of the embossing folder you stamp your trees. I know this doesn't make much sense until you watch a video. Sorry, I have not made one yet! Then you run it through your Big Shot, and it comes out with the trees and the sky already there! So cool! Thank you to all you talented people out there that think up these amazing ideas!

Then I stamped the little Cardinals from the White Christmas stamp set and coloured them in. The colours are Real red, Soft Sky, Old Olive and Crumb Cake was lightly sponged across the trees to give them life. Hope you like it!

Warm Wishes

Hi Everyone! Today's card is all about Warm Wishes. As soon as I saw this stamp set in the holiday catalog I knew I had to have it! Don't you just love it!

I took the tag they made on page 13 of the holiday catalog and turned it into a Christmas card. I made 2 different versions. One with Whisper White and one with Very Vanilla. The textured backgrounds are different too.

This one is the Very Vanilla with the Woodland embossing folder.

This one is the Whisper White with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.

Woodland and Papillon Potpourri

Hi Everyone! Today's card is all about butterflies and the amazing new Woodland embossing folder.

Inspiration for this card came from all the Monarchs migrating to Mexico for the winter. This time of year you will see them crossing the great lakes or at the shores, hiding in trees waiting for great weather to cross. Very magical.

The colours are Soft Sky, Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie (I also used my sponge dabber with Crumb Cake and just went lightly over the trees, to give them more dimension). All the butterflies are embossed with basic black embossing powder, then coloured them with my blender pen in Pumpkin Pie. Then punched them out using the small butterfly punch.

I tried to put a greeting/sentiment on the front but it just didn't work. No worries, that's why you have an inside! This card could be used for any occasion really; Birthday, Congratulations, Encouragement, Sympathy, etc.

Thanks for stopping by, and if you have any questions let me know.

Happy Stamping!
