You're in My Thoughts

Hi Everyone! Today's card started out a little different from the vision that I had for it.

Meaning, that I had a bunch of butterflies in colours from the Regal family to be placed all on one side, going up the card.

However, when I had the sentiment on and was going to place all the butterflies up along the side, it just didn't look right~

This is what I came up with instead!

So much more elegant, clean and simple.

Papillon Potpourri, thinking of you

Don't you just LOVE the Butterfly with the Rhinestone trail?

I tried to do a loop de loop with the Rhinestones but it didn't work.

Besides, I think this is just the right amount of Rhinestones.
What do you think?

Inked Embossed Folders

Hi Everyone! Today's cards are all about the technique - Inked Embossed Folders. I have 3 different cards to share with you using this really cool technique.

For this technique you ink up your brayer then run it over one side of your embossing folder. Usually the top side of the folder. Then you run it through your Big Shot (or whatever you use). When it comes out, the ink is transferred to the shallow part of your embossed piece.

Same technique, yet 3 completely different cards! To take this even further you could always sponge the raised part of each image, to give it more detail. I did that on this card, this one and this one.

Which one is your favorite? I think I will have to go with the Woodland one. I absolutely love the Soft Sky in the back ground. I love how peaceful it is.

Best Thoughts

Hi everyone! Today's card is from the hostess set Best Thoughts and Basic Butterflies (sentiment). I absolutely love the flower, okay I like all the stamps in this set.

I started off by embossing the flower and the butterfly using basic black embossing powder, so that I could colour them with my blender pen. The colours are a little softer when you use the blender pen which is what I was going for.

The flower is Island Indigo and Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz for the stems and leaves, while the butterfly is Melon Mambo.

I think the pearls add an elegant touch. You can't see them very well in the photo below, but there are 4 on the card with one in the sentiment.
