A Flower for all Seasons

Hi Everyone! Today's card is another one using the Brick Wall embossing folder. I love it! So much fun to mix all the colours together. This time I paired it with one of my favorite stamp sets, A Flower for all Seasons. It has been retired for some time now, but I just love it. I mean, just look at that little lady bug! Too cute!

I made the curtains by embossing another piece of vellum using a striped embossing folder, which I put under the vellum that I attached to the window frame (make sense?) and behind that is a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock because I didn't want the brick showing through.

I used dimensionals for the window frame and the flower pots, I didn't want everything to be flat. It adds more character this way. I wanted to add the sentiment to the outside, but nothing looked right. So, I just stamped the inside of the card!

I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions let me know!

Garden in Bloom

Hi Everyone! Today's card is all about the new set Garden in Bloom. It has 20 stamps in this set! Oh, the possibilities are endless. I was also really impressed with how easy they were to line up, since they are a two step stamp if you want.

And these colours together (Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, and Smoky Slate) are awesome! Okay, I'll be honest, I REALLY like the colour Lost Lagoon! Weird since my go to colours are usually found in the brights family.

I think the new washi tape punch made for a prefect tag on this card.

Best Thoughts

Hi everyone! Today's card is from the hostess set Best Thoughts and Basic Butterflies (sentiment). I absolutely love the flower, okay I like all the stamps in this set.

I started off by embossing the flower and the butterfly using basic black embossing powder, so that I could colour them with my blender pen. The colours are a little softer when you use the blender pen which is what I was going for.

The flower is Island Indigo and Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz for the stems and leaves, while the butterfly is Melon Mambo.

I think the pearls add an elegant touch. You can't see them very well in the photo below, but there are 4 on the card with one in the sentiment.

Happy Birthday meets a Brick Wall

Hi Everyone! Today's card is a birthday card using the new Brick Wall embossing folder. It was so much fun to colour, and there are so many colour combinations that you could do. The technique for colouring the bricks came from Keenan Creations . I can't wait to try different colours of brick.

So, the boys aren't from Stampin' Up!, but I thought they went really well with this layout. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set Express Yourself. Hope you like it!

The colours that I used are: Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede, Night of Navy and Momento. I used a blender pen to colour them in, so the colours look softer.

If you have any questions let me know!

Best of Butterflies

Hi Everyone! Today's card is a butterfly Birthday card. The idea for this card came from a t-shirt that I have. (I should have taken a photo of it too!) I love butterflies, they are very magical, one minute they are an ugly caterpillar and the next a beautiful butterfly! Anyway~

I embossed the butterflies using basic black and silver embossing powder, while the sentiment is in Wisteria Wonder, not embossed. I really like the added colour of Wisteria Wonder, it's very subtle. The stamp sets are Best of Butterflies and Celebrate Today. Hope you like it!

Sprinkles of Life

Hi everyone! Today's card is a Birthday card, that I made it into a shaker box. Boy, I haven't made one of these in a really long time. I had forgotten all the steps. I love how it turned out!

The colours are basic grey and pacific point. Don't you just love it when two different stamp sets come together and make one really great card! That's what happened when I put Sprinkles of Life and Celebrate Today together. (The stars are from the treat bag framelit.)

So sorry!

Hi everyone! It's been forever hasn't it! Sorry about that. Summer just kinda snuck up on me and the kids were home, etc. Anyway, enough of the blah blah blah! I'm back, so that is all that matters!

Today's card for you is a sad one! My really good neighbour had to let her beloved cat go to animal heaven the other day. So sad! She had her for about 12 years.

The cat stamp and the paw print are not Stampin' Up!. They were the only ones that I have with a cat.

Normally I would have given her flowers or a baked good of some kind, but I just didn't have anything. My wonderful daughter suggested that I give her homemade potato chips.

She absolutely loved them! Made her day (which of course we were happy about)!
