I recently held a Stamp-A-Stack (where you come and make 10 cards in one afternoon, lots of fun!). This one was a Christmas cards theme and this was one of the cards that we made.
I used the beautiful Filigree Embossing folder, the new tree punch, All is Calm Designer Paper, Star punch (which I used with silver paper), the greeting for this card came from the White Christmas stamp set. It only comes in photopolymer, which is fabulous because I needed to make it curve with the Deco Labels Collection framelits die. Then for some bling I added a few sequins and dimensionals to the trees.
Now for the questions:
1. What are you working on?
I have a new Stamp Club coming up this January, so I am working on one of the projects for that. I wish I could show you, but then it wouldn't be a surprise for my club members. Please keep checking back to see what it is. You will love it!
2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
That's a hard one! I think I would say that my style is clean and simple. I really try to keep them simple so that everyone can make them, even people new to card making. I like things to lined up, straight, symmetrical, matching, and not too many steps.
3. Why do you create what you do?
Because I love it! I have loved everything about paper, stamps, stationary, stickers, etc., ever since I was a little girl. When I was little and my mom would take me into the stationary store, I was in heaven! I could have stayed there forever. It did help that my mom was very creative too! Plus, I love hearing my friends and neighbours say how much they love what I have created just for them!
4. How does your creativity process work?
Hmmm... another great question, I haven't really thought about it. I usually pick the stamp set first and then look for a sketch of some kind or if I see a card that I love that some else has done, I may CASE it with my own tweak to it. Sometimes the beautiful cardstock colours are my first inspiration. I guess I just don't have one specific way!
Now to pass the torch on to 2 other VERY talented crafters:
My first nomination is the amazingly talented Jennie Maier. Her style is clean and elegant. She adds the right amount of bling to her projects. Her ideas are great for the beginner, all the way to advance level card maker. Can't wait to see what she has for us!
My second nomination is the super talented Linda Rodenberg. Her style is also very clean and elegant. I love that you can use her cards as sketches to make your own creations. She has lots of unique projects to share with you. Head on over and check her out!
They both have until December 29th, 2014 to post their amazing creations. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out everyone who has had the privilege to participate in this Creative Blog Hop.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed everything that you saw here!
Happy Stamping!
