Petite Petals

Hi Everyone! Hard to believe that it has been almost 2 weeks since I posted anything! Having the kids home for the summer is fabulous, but certainly a lot more challenging to make a blog post or even get to the craftroom! Please bear with me as I figure this all out.

Today's cards have the same general layout, but I changed the greeting and the position of the little butterfly. I love how you can change one little thing on a card and get a completely different look and feeling about the card.

The gardens around my house are just blooming with beautiful colours and I am trying to capture that in my cards.

Petite Petals Birthday Card

Hi Everyone! I can't believe I haven't posted anything since last week! Do I still have any followers? I can't believe that it is already the end of the week! Where in the world did the time go? Enough of me babbling on!

Today's card, is a Birthday card that a friend of mine request for her mom's 75th Birthday. (I believe it's a surprise celebration, shhh!) The colours for her party are a lavender. The closest that I have is Perfect Plum.

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Perfect Plum, then Whisper White (which, I embossed using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder). The leaf stems were cut using the old Sizzix machine thing (Old Olive is the colour of the paper). Next, I stamped one of the flowers from the Petite Petals (love this set!) in Perfect Plum. Punched out the flowers, using the matching punch. For the small Perfect Plum flowers, I used the now retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack. The little butterfly is from the Papillon Potpourri set, which also has a matching punch. The greeting is from Simply Sketched, stamped in Perfect Plum.

Pizza Boxes!

Hi everyone! Today I have for you 2 different sizes of Pizza Boxes. One mini and one a little larger, (no, it doesn't hold a regular size pizza!) I have been wanting to make these for a long time. They are just adorable. You can put anything in them. In one, I have 3x3 note cards with envelopes and the other one I wanted something different. I haven't decided yet what that will be, but the possibilities are endless. Maybe some chocolates!

The last photo is of the mini Pizza Box with the 3x3 cards that I made to go inside. I didn't want the cards to say 'Happy Birthday' because the box is the gift already wrapped and the cards inside are to be given away.

There are lots of tutorials out there. For the larger one, I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. (I know it says mini, but there is a smaller version out there). However, I can't remember where I found the mini one, probably you-tube.

Birthday

Today I thought I would get right to the point! I have a 'Birthday' card for you. You could of course change the sentiment to suit your needs. It would be lovely as a 'Get Well', or 'Thinking of You'. I just realised that this card also uses the 'Simple Stems' stamp set! I certainly hope I am not turning you off of this gorgeous stamp set. I promise tomorrow I won't be using 'Simple Stems'!

Gorgeous Grunge

Yesterday I got a wonderful package in the mail, it was my order from Stampin' Up! Which means new stamp sets and new ink colours!!! Oh happy day!

Today I have for you a Birthday card. My daughter has a birthday party to go to this weekend, so she requested a "triple time stamping" one, however I had something else in mind! The colours had to be pink and purple, and the little girl who it is going to likes flowers and butterflies. So this is what I came up with. I have 2 samples for you.

Flower Shop

I have this little beauty for you today. I absolutely love the Flower Shop stamp set. Six different flowers, plus there is a punch to match! What more could a girl ask for. Don't answer that! This one is a sympathy card, but you could always change the colours and the greeting to suit your needs. Could make a beautiful Spring Birthday card, especially after this really long Winter!

Petite Petals MOJO337

Hard to believe another week has gone by! That means another MOJO Monday Sketch. So, it isn't really Monday, that's just when they post their new sketch for the week. By the time I get to see the sketch and make my card, it is a couple of days later. Does it really matter? I didn't think so either! As long as I have a card to share with you, all is good in the world, right!? Here is the sketch.

Here is what I came up with. Don't you just love Spring! All the wonderful colours, and the beautiful flowers that are coming out after a REALLY long Winter's nap. Where were we, oh ya, my card! Sorry about, I love Spring and the bright colours!

Triple Time Stamping (Tutorial)

stampin up

Today I have for you a tutorial on how to make this lovely card. In the card world they call it Triple Time Stamping. I know what you're thinking, this card is way too hard. Actually it's really easy. Let's get started!

First you will need these supplies:

Stamp Sets:
Summer Silhouettes (c 126447)
Flower Shop (c 130942)
Simply Sketched (c 129672)

Inks:
Garden Green (126973)
Crushed Curry (131173)

Paper:
1 - Whisper White Cardstock (100730) 2 x 3 1/4
1 - Garden Green Cardstock  (102584) 2 1/4 x 3 1/2
1 - Whisper White Cardstock  3 x 4 1/4
1 - Garden Green Cardstock  3 1/4 x 4 1/2
1 - Whisper White Cardstock  4 x 5 1/4
1 - Garden Green Cardstock  8 1/2 x 5 1/2

Accessories:
White Baker's Twine (124262)
White Designer Button (130031)
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
Pearl Basic Jewels (119247)
Black Stazon Ink (101406) For the Greeting

1. This is what the Whisper White Cardstock should look like.

2. Now you need to put a LITTLE bit of adhesive on the back of the 2 smaller Whisper White Cardstock pieces. You only want a little because you will have to remove them later.

3. Now you are going to layer them like this photo. (Hard to photograph white paper!) They need to be centered on top of one another.

4. Now the really fun part! Stamping the leaf images on to all 3 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock. Randomly stamp where you want the leaves to go. Always remember that it is more pleasing to the eye if you stamp an odd amount.

5. Now for the flower, same as the leaf, wherever you want them. (Remember odd numbers!) We are almost done! See, it wasn't that hard, was it!?

6. Now you take the Whisper White Cardstock layers apart and you adhere them to the Garden Green matts that you previously cut.

7. Before you adhere it to the card, now is the time to wrap your Bakers Twine around the 2 first full layers and add your button. I also stamped my Birthday Greeting (Black Stazon) at this time.

8. Last step! Adhere it to your card base with dimensionals!

Here is another card I made using the same method.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Please leave me a comment, I would love to know what you think or if you have any questions about the cards that you see here. All these supplies can be purchased through Stampin' Up!, just press the shopping cart button and happy shopping!

Happy Stamping!
