Just because...

Hi Everyone! We are having such nasty weather around here, you would never know it is Spring time! However, it's perfect crafting weather! Have you made anything? I did, lol!

Tin of Cards

The other day, a friend was saying that she needed cards to pick up people's spirits. This got me to thinking that a nice cheery "Just Because" card would be perfect for that!

Wouldn't you love to receive one too? I know I would.

Sky is the Limit Birthday!

Hi Everyone! How is your March Break going so far? Sorry if you don't get a break, we are thinking of you!

Many people dear to us share today as their Birthday and oddly enough, 2 of them, love older style planes. I shared one of their cards earlier, you can find it here. This is the other one.

Happy Birthday

You can't really tell from the photo, but that is Blackberry Bliss, not black. I also used our Craft White ink for the exhaust smoke, you can sort of see it.

I used the World Traveler Embossing Folder as the base and layered from there. I did stamp the air plane in Memento Black, but it certainly could have been Blackberry Bliss.

The clouds are from the same set (Sky is the Limit), stamped on Soft Sky with Soft Sky ink. They really do look like they are floating.

What do you think?

Supplies:

Paper:
Smokey Slate
Blackberry Bliss 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Soft Sky 4" x 3"
Whisper White

Inks:
Craft White
Memento Black
Blackberry Bliss
Soft Sky

Stamps:
Sky is the Limit
Express Yourself (retired)

Accessories:
Vellum Paper (propeller)
Brad
Washi Label Punch
Black Bakers Twine
Dimensionals
World Traveler Embossing Folder

1x8 Halloween Treat bags!

Hi Everyone! Today I have another Halloween project for you. Just something really cute! 1x8 cellophane bags (you can order them through Stampin' Up!) filled with Halloween treats. Aren't they cute! You can make these for all sorts of occasions: Valentine's Day, Christmas, Loot bags, Halloween, Easter, etc.

I filled them with the same amount of candy (yes, my kids would them count to make sure no one was getting more than the other!). I stamped my greeting with Black Momento onto Tangelo Twist and then punched them out using the Washi Label punch. Add a bow and they are done!

Thanks for stopping by, let me know if you have any questions!

Mini Treat Bag for Halloween

Hi Everyone! Today I have for you a little Halloween project. Don't worry it's not too complicated or too easy. Just perfect actually!

I knew I wanted to use the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit for some Halloween goodies for my family. We don't do too much here for Halloween. So this is the perfect size treat for them.

While you have the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit on your paper, I added a circle framelit because I wanted to make the front a pumpkin. That way you don't have to run it through twice. Then I made a circle frame using 2 Circle Framelits (in Pumpkin Pie) and attached it with adhesive. The stem is actually from the Wonderful Wreath Framelit in Baked Brown Sugar. The leaf is from Quickcuts in Garden Green.

I put my goodies in a cellophane bag and added some black ribbon. Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions let me know!

Happy Stamping!

Disclaimer: I LOVE all of Stampin' Up!'s stuff, but I already have some Halloween stamp sets and since we really don't go all out for Halloween I decided to spend my money on other things in the catalog. Plus I have a lot of things that are retired that I need to use up, which also gives you ideas on how to use up the products that you already have too.
