Swirly Thank you!

Hi Everyone! It's official, today is the last day of school here! Let the summer vacation begin!! I hope you all have crafty plans for the summer! (This year during the summer I will only be posting 3 days a week instead of 6. I hope you all understand!)

Today is all about thanking the wonderful teacher's out there that do such a great job with our kids!

Not sure about you, but Swirly Bird is one of those stamp sets that are completely out of my comfort zone. Because you mostly random stamp which is not my thing! Getting better at it though!

I completely cased this one! Yep, I did! 

See those small gold dots?? There are embossed! Cool or what!? I made them using this really cool Versa Marker that one of my customers gave me for Christmas! Thank you!

We made this teacher an Aromatherapy bracelet too! 

As you can see I tried to make the card have the same colours as the bracelet. I think it worked out great! 

Of course this pretty little bracelet needed a pretty little package. It was supposed to be the same package as the other Aromatherapy Bracelet that we made for another teacher, however I forgot one score line. So, it turned into this!

I stamped all over the Whisper White cardstock. I changed it a little from the card.

It's a triangle box with no sides! Pretty cool eh? I love how everything turned out!

Confession... I completely forgot to take a picture of the card and the package together! Can't now because the teacher already has their gift! Oops!

Swirly Bird 5!

Hi Everyone! Okay, this is the last day that I am going to post a card using the new stamp set Swirly Bird. 

Okay, this one technically doesn't use the Swirly Bird stamp set. It does however use the Thinlits that match. Swirly Scribbles!

I am sure I got my inspiration for this card from one I saw on Pinterest. However, I can't find it anymore! 

I was going to use the retired Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder on the Whisper White background. However, I am liking the simplicity of it without.

I know the Itty Bitty Punches have been retired and they don't seem to be returning with anything like them, so instead you could use the flower from the Swirly Bird stamp set.

Hi Everyone! How are you liking my week of Swirly Bird cards?? 

This next Swirly Bird card is not my original. I saw one like it on Pinterest. I absolutely fell in love with it. So you know what that means! I had to make one too!

Can you see the possibilities with this?? Instead of flowers, they could be hearts, butterflies, stars even. And don't get me started on the colour choices!

Swirly Bird 3!

Hi Everyone! Seems like a Swirly Bird kind of week! Hope you are enjoying all that you see here!

To be completely honest this was a hard one for me. I know it looks simple and everything, but not for me! I had trouble with the swirls! No idea where to place them, how to place, what colour, etc. 

So, first I picked the colours. These are from the Regals family. Then I stamped away. I can say that I am pretty happy with how this turned out. And it was completely out of my element!

I am loving the new Stylized Birthday stamp. You will be seeing it a lot on my cards to come!

I made 2 different cards using the same colours. Not sure which one I like more, how about you?

Can you believe it... no Dimensionals! Great card for anyone, plus you can always change up the colours! That's what I love about making cards, you can always change something!

Swirly Bird 2!

Hi Everyone! Looks like I have another Swirly Bird card for you today! For this one I also used the Thinlits that match it. 

For the water I ran the Thinlit through twice using Soft Sky and Night of Navy. Then I paper pieced them together. This card did take some time to make, however I LOVE the results!

Of course Dimensionals! I really wanted my little boat to stand out.
