Dainty Happy Birthday!

Hi Everyone! The weekend is finally here! Have you been pouring over the retired list? I have not really had a chance yet. I am hoping to very soon. What are you sad to see retire?

My card today is inspired by a card we did at my recent Stamp-A-Stack Retirement party. (Sorry you missed it! Send me a message if you want to know when the next one will be). We made something very similar to this, but using all retiring stamp sets.

Tin of cards, happy birthday

Don't you just love that swirly line thing! (Yep, that's the technical term for it!). It makes everything all dainty, especially with those precious little flowers!

Petite Petals re-make!

Hi Everyone! Today's card is a re-make of one I made a few years ago for my daughters' Birthday.

This time I used the flower from the Itty Bitty Accent Punches. I wanted to use the Smokey Slate flowers instead of the cut out like the original. You can find the original here.

Happy Birthday, Petite Petals

Instead of those really cute flowers you could use the new Balloon Punch (the small one would work best), the Star or the Heart from the Itty Bitty Accent Punches, you get the idea!

Happy Birthday, Petite Petals

I absolutely love our Itty Bitty Accent Punches. I hope they have a set each year!

Sunflowers!

Hi Everyone! Now that Spring is sort of here (it's freezing today!), the Magnolia trees are in bloom, my little cherry tree has buds on it and the birds are back. So, I think Spring is here!

Since Spring is on my mind, that means so are my flowers and my gardens. I can't wait to get planting!

Which brings me to the Botanical Builder Framelits set. I knew I wanted to make some Sunflowers with this amazing set. You can make any type of flowers with them. Your imagination is the limit! (Last week I made Forget-Me-Nots!)

So, not everything on my card is retired. I have used Timeless Elegance DSP (I guess you could say that it is retired!).

I have embossed everything! The swirls, the sentiment, leaves, everything!! I also fussy cut the leaves and the flowers.

Store bought cards, photographs, sketches, other homemade cards, etc. The sky's the limit!

The inspiration for this one came from a little catalogue that happens to sell boxed card sets and many other household items. One of the cards had a beautiful swirly boarder, so I thought I needed one too!

This swirly boarder comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

Always Thinking of You!

Hi Everyone! We FINALLY have beautiful weather here! I am just itching to get to my gardens~ How about you??

I have to tell you a little story...

So, the other day I sat down at my desk all ready to work on a card.

Guess what!??

My Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer was missing! The world is coming to an end!

I couldn't find it any where.

Of course panic is setting in... then I remember I was over at a friends house Friday night using it.

I ask her if she has seen it. Nope, she never found an extra one.

Really starting to panic now, you know heart palpation's, shortness of breath and everything! I ask her to please check again!

Guess what!? Yep, she had it! All smiles and sunshine now!

Here is my card for you today. I saw this sketch on Pinterest and knew I had to recreate it.

thinking of you

This is one of those sketches that is perfect for using up small pieces of DSP, that we all have!
